CAPACITANCE OF A CAPACITOR.
CAPACITANCE OF A CAPACITOR This kit has been designed to study the capacitance of a
capacitor with plane and parallel plates. These can be mounted
on a U-shaped support to keep a suitable distance.
Using different dielectric materials such as panes of glass,
polystyrene and air will enable to see their effect on the
capacitance of this parallel plate capacitor.
This test demonstrates how the capacitance of a capacitor
depends on the size of plates and on the distance between the
same plates.

the capacitance of a parallel plate capacitor
• demonstrating the effect of the different dielectrics on the
