Pore Pressure Apparatus- Engineering Lab Training Systems.
The equipment consists of : Pressure Gauge, Bourdon tube type 8 inch
dia graduated 0-150 p.s.i. divisions and 0-10.5 kg./sq. cm in 0.1,
kg./sq. cm, divisions: Monometer. Glass V- tube manometer for measuring
low positive pore pressures, negative pore pressures and checking zero
error of pressure gauge. It is provided with a mercury trap. (Mercury
can be supplied at extra cost) Null indicator. Perspex null inductor
with mercury trap and cursor to indicate the mercury level. Burette. 50
ml burette for measuring the volume change in the soil specimen.
Pressure pump is fitted with four sleeve packed valves. Operated
by means of a hand wheel on the end of the piston rod which is threaded
through the pump cap and gives a smooth, fine adjustment of pressure.
With copper coil, and water reservoir.
All parts are fixed on a panel suitable for wall mounting and the unit is tested against leaks upto 150 p.s.!.
