Technical Description
The heat transferred to and
from a refrigeration circuit can be investigated with this compact
benchtop unit. The evaporator contains two electrical heaters that are
used as a cooling load. The motor torque for the open compressor is
measured using a spring balance. The heat dissipated can be determined
by measuring the temperature change and flow rate of the cooling water.
An environmentally friendly refrigerant is used.
A supply of cooling water is required.
