VACUUM JAR WITH BELL Description and Specifications for Lab Tenders
VACUUM JAR WITH BELL.
VACUUM JAR WITH BELL Sound propagates only in a conduction medium. The oscillations
of the sound source (bell) arrive at the receiver (ear) through
the propagation medium (air).
If there is no propagation medium near the sound source
(vacuum inside the jar), sound cannot be sent from its source
to the receiver. If vacuum is realized inside the jar, no sound
can be heard, although the hammer strikes the gong. Blowing
air gradually into the jar, at the beginning sound is very faint and
then it becomes louder and louder.
The electric bell operates at 4-6 Vac and it hangs by a rubber
string inside the jar.
The vacuum pump is equipped with a plate for the glass jar.
