Length Comparator- Engineering Lab Training Systems.
IS: 1199-1959: IS: 4031-1968: It is used to
measure the Drying shrinkage of concrete, autoclave expansion
of portland cement and potential expansive reactivity of cement
Aggregate combinations in mortar bars during storages.
The instrument consists of a chanelled base over which two vertical pillars are fixed.
A
cross plate moves up and down at the top. The dial gauge, reading to
.002 mm. x 12 mm can e fixed to the top cross Plate. The plunger end of
the dial gauge can be located upon a 6.5 mm. dia bailor other reference
point cemented in the specimen. On the base there Is a similar recessed
seating in which can be located a second ball or reference point in
the specimen.
Complete with a stainless steel standardization bar
with 6.5 mm. dia ball mounted in the ends. The unit is supplied with
a .01 x 10 mmdial gauge.
